Hello Everybody!

Happy Thanksgiving!  Even if you don't live in the United States, you surely have something to give thanks about! It's snowing here!  6 inches so far, and it's beautiful!

Three subjects today:

1. Digital Cameras
2. ww32.BadTrans.B@mm running rampant!
3. Bob's Wonderful Book!

Digital Cameras

I've just purchased a very affordable digital camera.  They are really coming down for the holidays, and I thought you all might like some common sense information on buying one.  Christmas sales are a great time to pick up on a "GOOD DEAL"; many computer accessories, digital cameras and printers seem to be popping up in the store ads quite frequently for the holiday sales.

When buying a digital camera:

1. Consider price (I got  a 2.1 SiPix SC 2100 Camera for $129.00, great price!  Lots of rebates going on right now.)

2. Consider the Pixel Resolution (2.1 is very good, anything above is great!) (This is very important because many people get a 1.3 pixel camera, or one that has the 640X480 Resolution image, and it doesn't give you as good a quality as you would like.)  If you're going to spend the money, you might as well get a camera that you will be able to use for a while, and that gives you great pictures.

3. Consider memory cards:  An 8 MB memory card slips into my camera. This is the card that records your pictures until you decide to download them to your computer through a USB cable) You may want to purchase another memory card the same size or larger to have the option to take more pictures.  Ask your sales person at that time.  The larger the memory card, the more pictures it will hold.

4. Consider if your computer has USB support.  If you don't, you will want to get a camera that uses a floppy disk, so you can just put this in the
floppy drive and copy your pictures to your hard drive.

5.  A good photo editor is a must with pictures, especially if you are
emailing any of these.  You will want to downsize the kilobytes of the picture to email, or it will take a long time to send and receive.  A little refresher on this:

The 2.1 pixels resolution that I have gives me some great pictures, but I like to be able to crop the picture sometimes to get an even better picture.

Hope these helpful hints give you some confidence on purchasing your first digital camera.  Read all the directions, and reread them.  It's something new, and that can be challenging and frustrating, but it will be worth your effort to learn it.  Great fun, and you can just discard (delete) those
pictures that you don't like, email and/or print the ones you do like.

ww32.BadTrans.B@mm is running rampant!

Just wanted to alert you all on the ww32.BadTrans.B@mm virus.  It will attach itself to your address book and send itself out to all your friends and relatives.  So keep those anti-virus programs updated with the latest virus definitions to avoid infection of your computer, and spreading the virus to all your favorite people.  Refresher on that:

Bob's Wonderful Book!

And finally, the best part of this newsletter is about my friend, Bob McElwain's new book, YOUR PATH TO SUCCESS.  This is a magnificent book, and I highly recommend it; it would be a great Christmas gift!  Bob is one of the most informative and entertaining writers on the internet.  You'll probably want to subscribe to his free newsletter after this.  He has so many great articles and I read his newsletter religiously.  Here is Bob's description of his book; of course, it's the best one, and you can order this book through me by clicking on the link at the bottom of the article.  Take it away, Bob!

YOUR PATH TO SUCCESS
    By Bob McElwain

Need a great way to open on online business?  A way that
leads directly to success?  If so, grab a copy of "Your Path
To Success."  It was created with you in mind.  It also
includes lots of stuff for those who already have a business,
one not working quite as well as it should.

I don't think there's another resource quite like this book.
Most material available tends to focus on a particular plan or
strategy.  While some may work for you, they are restrictive.
That is, you need to follow the plan offered with great care.

In "Your Path To Success," the focus is on how to create *any* business you like.  Just the way you want it.  And to do so with only pocket money.

Watch Your Wallet

Costs matter a lot, particularly when getting started, for there's no chance for profits until later.  Far too many spend far too much up front.  Many thousands of dollars, even.  Not only is this unnecessary, but it can be a big mistake.  Why?

Because most businesses find it necessary to  redesign their site within a year or two.  This can mean throwing away lots of designer time, your own or that of hired talent, and maybe some very expensive art work.  Stick to the guidelines provided in this book, and $40/month will cover your first year's expenses.

Everything You Need Is Included

What matters most is that "Your Path To Success" is thorough.  Every idea known to work has been included.  (All that does not has been excluded.)  You won't miss out on even one valuable idea.  This matters, because it's often things overlooked that end up limiting success.

To use this book, simply pick up on the ideas you like.  Collect those you feel will work best for you.  Combine them as you see fit.  Then launch your new business, confident you'll succeed.

The Magic In Niche Marketing

One of the major hang ups for many is the idea of niche marketing.  Focusing in on a narrow slice of the cyber world, then staking your claim to it.  Really, there is no other option for small businesses.  It is simply the only way to go.

"Your Path To Success" shines in making sure you get this right.  It takes you step-by-step from brainstorming to finding the niche perfect for you.  While this usually takes some time, think time in particular, it is not hard to do.  In fact the tools provided make it a simple straightforward task many actually enjoy.  With this book in hand, you'll discover your perfect niche in very short order.

Stick To Things You Enjoy

Begin by taking a good look at the things you like to do.  Pick the one you enjoy the most.  Anything.

Suppose you really love hiking.  Does anybody know more about the good trails you have traveled?  Wouldn't others be interested in details about them?  Could you collect notes of interest along the next trail you take?  Will people really pay for this stuff? Sure, they will.  Recreational spending is up, up, and up!

And how about maps?  Have you tried hunting one up lately?  If so, you may have noticed some are hard to find and none are
free.  So how about a site featuring detailed maps of the popular trails in your area?  Or throughout the US?

If this sounds too simple, add in hard-to-find hiking gear.  Really top-of-the-line stuff.

Use your imagination.  Expand your thinking in every possible way.  Consider commissions on guide and travel services.  And for overnight accommodations.

All The Rest Of It

Given your niche, other parts of the puzzle can be quickly assembled.  This book includes the nitty-gritty details for creating a great site, one that sells like crazy.  Further, how best to promote your new site is spelled out with care.

It's all here.  From your first step to the launch of your business, just stick to the guidelines provided and watch it happen.  Simply choose your own personal path to success from the options included.  In doing so, you're assured of a pleasant
journey, with some good times along the way.

What Will You Decide?

If you've done any writing, you know that even when you give it your best shot, things don't always work out accordingly.  In this case I'm delighted.  "Your Path To Success" turned out even better than I had hoped it would.  If you're a newcomer to theWeb, or a recent starter in the online business world, I'm confident you'll find the information you need in this book.

You'll discover some neat ideas you haven't considered.  Many easily overlooked.  And you'll find a ton of super solutions to problems you may not yet have faced.

Sure, I'm biased.  Hey, I wrote the thing.  But when you've had a chance to look it over, I'm betting you'll agree.
